Our Story
The Medina Markets were born from a simple yet powerful idea in 2021: to create a space where families, artisans, and small businesses could come together in celebration of Ramadan and community spirit. Inspired by a parent’s heartfelt suggestion, the concept of a Ramadan Market took shape, designed to serve the DMV area and foster meaningful connections among local families.
From Vision to Vibrant Reality
In 2022, we hosted our 1st Annual Medina Ramadan Market at Medina Montessori. With 20 passionate vendors offering handmade goods, curated gifts, and delicious treats, the event was a beautiful reflection of our school’s values—community, creativity, and compassion.
By 2025, the Market had grown mashAllah to more than three times its original size, welcoming over 60 vendors and hundreds of visitors. Each year, the event continues to evolve, offering a rich tapestry of local talent, cultural celebration, and family-friendly fun.
